This benefits overview provides you with a summary of the benefits available to all eligible Genitope employees and eligible dependents.
Insurance Benefits
Medical: Genitope offers a PPO medical plan to all eligible employees and their eligible dependents (spouse or domestic partner and/or children). All medical plans include prescription benefits. Employee contributions are pre-tax.
Dental: Genitope offers a comprehensive dental plan. Coverage is available to all eligible employees and their eligible dependents (spouse or domestic partner and/or children). Employee contributions are pre-tax.
Vision: Genitope offers a comprehensive vision plan. Discounts on laser eye surgery are also offered. The vision plan is available to all eligible employees and their eligible dependents (spouse or domestic partner and/or children). Employee contributions are pre-tax.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Eligible employees may set aside pre-tax dollars to help pay for costs associated with uncovered medical and dependent care expenses.
Life/Disability: Genitope offers all eligible employees life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and accidental death or dismemberment coverage at no cost.
Investment Programs
401(k): Participation in the Genitope Corporation 401(k) Plan is available to all eligible employees after the first payroll run following the date of hire. After enrollment, employees may designate pre-tax contributions by dollar or percentage, and may direct contributions to any of ten investment funds.
Work/Life Balance Benefits
Paid Time Off: Genitope has a bimonthly accrual based PTO program. The following chart illustrates the number of days of PTO accrual based on employee length of service:

Holidays: Eligible employees receive up to 8 paid holidays per year. In addition, employees hired before 06/30 also receive two Floating Holidays to use at their discretion. Employees hired after 06/30 receive one Floating Holiday.
Additional Benefits
Wellness Program: In support of a healthy lifestyle, Genitope offers all eligible employees the opportunity to participate in a wellness program that credits participants with a 50% discount off the employee contribution for medical benefits if the participant meets certain criteria.
Educational Assistance Program: To promote an environment of continuous learning by encouraging employees to continue their education, Genitope provides all employees a combined maximum of $2,500.00 per year of financial assistance to attend certain conferences, training courses, or educational classes.
Fitness Center: Genitope employees may utilize the fitness center located onsite.
Credit Union: Regular full-time and part-time employees and members of their family or household are eligible to join. Membership provides employees with a variety of services.
While efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of this information, the amount and availability of all benefits are determined solely by the benefit plans' legal documents. In case of a dispute between the information in this statement and the legal documents, the documents would govern. Eligible employees are defined as employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week. Coverage for most benefits is effective the first of the month following the date of hire, unless otherwise noted.
